Designing people centered projects and services to maximise and sustain transformational impacts of development organisations working in Education, Gender, and with Youth.
Lawrencia Awuku
I am curious about the world around me, to understand the systems at play and the structures that shape the institutions within it.
This curiosity has taken me on a journey of learning about myself, culture, social values and norms, and personal values that have influenced my identity thus far.
Life continues to take me on a journey of discovering, of unlearning, relearning, and learning from others.
My journey leads me to exceptional people, places and professions. These interpersonal connections constantly fills my heart with passion and purpose.
It is why I commit myself to designing people centered projects that address critical needs in creating sustainable communities and enabling beneficiaries to live dignified lifes.

YOUTH
With a decade's years of professional experience across Africa, I have become a global curator of knowledge and learning experiences.
EDUCATION
I have acquired well-rounded technical skills in teaching and supporting children with disabilities to develop self-help skills in Uganda. I also have designed and managed community sensitization and education progamme interventions to address the prevalence of child labour and early child marriage. Most recently, I integrated experiential learning frameworks in designing interactive workbook, fun games for children aged 10-15years to implement Global Citizenship Education on the Sustainable Development Goals in Ghana.
GENDER
My technical expertise in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights has been gained from advocating for responsible youth reproductive health, mainstreaming gender in organisations to ensure gender equality remains a key component of organisational policies, goals and programmes, breaking the silence and shame on periods by designing a tailored period education project to promote Menstrual Hygiene Management in 4 rural communities in Togo.
YOUTH
From mentoring and coaching youth in their career attainment, training young adults with facilitations skills to be active change agents, managing youth education clubs for out of school youth in Kampala to gain literacy and numeracy skills, and vocational skills in textile making, handcrafted photo frames and decorative materials, I have gained hands-on skills in working in partnership with youth to unlock their potentials and agency.
